  • Purpose
    Gwalior is full of a variety of educational institutions, various universities and academic institutions are running over here, but there was no recognized and affiliated institution in the field of yoga and natural therapy. Hence Vivekanand Needam made efforts to establish “Niramaya Academy of Yoga and Naturopathy and Research and Training Institute” It is in collaboration with Gandhi National Academy for Naturopathy, Delhi and affiliated with N.D.D.Y

  • Education provided by the academy
    • Yoga Teachers Certification Course
    • N.D.D.Y – Diploma in naturopathy and Diploma in Yoga. The purpose is to prepare teachers and doctors who can follow naturopathy and yoga based on the scientific facts, who are able to practice and treat patients independently and contribute in the well being of society and country.

  • Yoga Teachers Certification Course
    This course is being organized with an aim to train such people in yoga, who understand basic and genuine aspects of yoga and become the master of yoga teaching and after training they can teach yoga in any institution or train any person or can teach yoga to any layman or the benefit of society. This course is organized three times in a year and the duration is one month.

  • Diploma in naturopathy and Diploma in Yoga
    The course duration for diploma in naturopathy and yoga is 3 years. Six months practical training is mandatory after completing 3 years course.

  • N.D.D.Y First Year
    • The minimum educational qualification for N.D.D.Y First year examination is Higher Secondary, 10+2 (with Biology) or any other equivalent qualification passed from any recognized university or board.

      It is mandatory for the candidates who have passed from art group, science (maths) or medical assistant, to pass additional examination of general science.

    OR

    • All those candidates who are registered to any medical stream of RMP will be allowed to appear in the N.D.D.Y First Year examination but they will have to pass additional examination of science.

  • N.D.D.Y Second Year
    • Only those candidates will get admission in second year who have passed out first year examination.

      OR

    • All those candidates who have passed nursing or diploma in yoga (at least one year regular course) from any government or government recognized institution, will be allowed to take admission directly in the N.D.D.Y second Year but it will be mandatory for them to pass the first examination paper of N.D.D.Y First Year.

  • N.D.D.Y Third Year
    • Only those candidates will get admission in third year who have passed out second year examination.

      OR

    • All those candidates who have passed nursing or diploma in yoga (at least one year regular course) from any government or government recognized institution will be allowed to take admission directly in the N.D.D.Y final Year on the basis of their original certificates. It will be mandatory for them to pass out at least one examination paper of naturopathy theory, mud therapy, water therapy, sun therapy, fooding, fasting and scientific method of massage. Candidate who has passed out in any individual stream will get admission in first year only.

    Wld appreciate if u cld provide more details on the 3 yr course in naturopathy n yoga. It is for my neice who has completed class 12 without science but has keen interest in this field. And does the institute provde hostel facility since the girl has always be cocconed. Just want to check out the safety n protection factor as well.

Outside India, the term yoga is typically associated with Hatha Yoga and its asanas (postures) or as a form of exercise. Someone who practices yoga or follows the yoga philosophy is called a yogi or yogini.But to learn more yoga steps i will recomment you yoga.

  6. I have in my hometown a new Ayurvedic Doctor who has started new Clinic. The Degree mentioned on his board is N.H.I.,N.D.D.Y.(Delhi).

    I want to know that is it legal to Practice and give medicines of Ayurveda having this degree?
